Acceptable use policy
Updated October 10, 2026
This policy applies to every buyer of Proxy4U and every partner who shares a device through Proxy4U. It protects the partners whose IP addresses carry the traffic, the websites that receive it, and you.
1. Permitted uses
Use the network for lawful business purposes, for example:
- Collecting publicly available web data for research, analytics or AI datasets, at reasonable request rates.
- Monitoring prices, availability and promotions.
- Verifying ads and affiliate links.
- Tracking search rankings and checking localized content.
2. Prohibited uses
- Any illegal activity, or helping others commit it.
- Fraud, phishing, scams, impersonation or identity theft.
- Sending spam or bulk unsolicited messages by any channel.
- Credential stuffing, brute-force logins, account takeover, or creating accounts in bulk with fake identities.
- Click fraud, ad fraud or fake engagement such as likes, views, reviews or votes.
- Attacks: denial of service, port or vulnerability scanning and exploitation attempts, unless you own the target or have written permission.
- Distributing malware or controlling botnets.
- Accessing or distributing child sexual abuse material or other illegal content.
- Infringing intellectual property, including bulk downloading of copyrighted media.
- Reaching private, local or internal networks through partner devices.
- Reselling access without a written agreement with us.
3. Blocked by default
To protect partners, we block the following at the gateway and on the device:
- Outgoing mail ports 25, 465, 587.
- Private, loopback, link-local, carrier-grade NAT and other reserved IP ranges. They are checked after the DNS lookup, so a hostname cannot point into a partner's home network.
- Government and banking domains, and peer-to-peer file sharing (BitTorrent). Some categories can be unlocked after verification.
- Other destinations added to our blocklist after abuse reports.
4. Verification tiers (KYC)
- Tier 1 — e-mail: a verified e-mail address is enough for small plans.
- Tier 2 — identity and use case: identity verification and a description of your use case before high volumes or sensitive destinations are unlocked. Companies may be asked for registration documents.
Partners may be asked to verify their identity before withdrawing earnings. We may ask for verification at any time if we see unusual activity.
5. Monitoring and logs
We do not record the content of your traffic. For HTTPS, the gateway and partner devices only see the target host and encrypted bytes.
We keep connection metadata (account, device, target domain, port, time and number of bytes) for 90 days, to bill usage, investigate abuse reports and protect partners whose IP addresses were used. After that it is deleted.
Automated rules look for signs of abuse, such as many failed logins against one domain, port scanning or sudden traffic spikes, and may suspend an account while we review it.
6. Rules for partners
- Install the app only on devices and connections you own or are allowed to use.
- Do not run the app through a VPN, proxy, VPS or datacenter connection, and do not fake devices or locations.
- Do not send your own traffic through the network to increase earnings.
- Earnings from fraudulent devices are cancelled during the 7–14 day hold.
7. Enforcement
If you break this policy we may block destinations, limit, suspend or close your account, and report illegal activity to the authorities where the law requires it. Balances are not refunded in that case.
8. Report abuse
Send reports to [email protected] with the IP address, the time including the time zone, the target and a short description. We answer within 24 hours.
